Women armed with favorite weapons, 1900

A search of a year’s record of cases in the police courts of Chicago throws some Interesting light om domestic warfare. The Chicago Tribune tabulates the list of weapons which “lovely woman” uses when she feels that way. From this list, it would appear that a woman with a rolling-pin Is more than twice as likely to assume a belligerent attitude than a woman with a mop, while a woman with a broom handle is 186 times as dangerous a a woman with a lamp or a nursing bottle.
