RIP John Saxon, 1935-2020
RIP John Saxon shown here in Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee.
John Saxon had almost 200 acting credits to his name including roles in Nightmare on Elm Street, The Six Million Dollar Man and Wonder Woman.
Batclimbing
During the 1966 Batman series, there were several cameos by actors popping their head out of a window while Batman and Robin were climbing by. The more notable celebrities were Dick Clark, Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis Jr. and of course the Green Hornet and Kato. The “special effect” is shown above, West and Ward would walk on a floor that looked like the side of a building, then the scene would be filmed sideways.

Fury of the Dragon, 1976
This 1976 movie version of ‘The Green Hornet’ was the second of two feature films compiled from episodes of the 1966-67 TV show, and features our heroes battling bent coppers, foiling art heists, busting drug traffickers and dodging deadly ray guns. (amazon.com)
George W. Trendle (1884-1972)
George W. Trendle, creator of the Lone Ranger and Green Hornet, was born this day 136 years ago.
George Trendle (center) is seen in the photo below with various members of the Green Hornet crew. He was 83 when the Green Hornet appeared on ABC.
