George Orwell (1903-1950) Author of Animal Farm and 1984, passes away on this day in 1950. Considering the events of the last year, I find it amazing how much insight he had as to what happens when you give the government(s) to much power.

One of my favorite songs from the 80s was the Outlaws haunting cover of the 1949 song Ghost Riders by Stan Jones.
