Saucy Romantic Adventures, May, 1936
The Domino Lady made her first appearance in Saucy Romantic adventures, May, 1936. Her stories were written under the pen name of “Lars Anderson” but the author’s real identity is unknown.
The Domino Lady’s real identity is Ellen Patrick, a Berkeley educated socialite and daughter to District Attorney Owen Patrick. When her father was murdered she put on a mask to avenge him. Armed with a .45, a syringe of knockout serum, and her beauty, she would steel from her adversaries and donate the profits to charity (after taking her cut). Like most pulp characters at that time, she would leave a calling card that says “Compliments of the Domino Lady”.
