The Pontiac Banshee IV is a two-door, four-seater with a sleek futuristic design that was the inspiration for the Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro. It has a red fiberglass body with a matte black triangular hood. Under that hood is a 230 horsepower fuel-injected, single overhead cam V8 engine.

Pictured below is the futuristic cockpit. The dashboard features a high-tech heads-up display system that projected information about speed, engine RPM, and fuel level on the windshield in the driver’s field of vision. The steering wheel alone has 20 buttons that features thumb-operated flash-to-pass buttons, climate controls, radio controls and airbag. Other amenities include a keyless entry system, memory-adjustable pedal and seat positions, and individually-controlled headset radio speakers.

In 1989 NOW comics launched the Green Hornet, which included a new Black Beauty. This time the sleek, super-powered “Black Beauty”, streamlined car of The Green Hornet was based on the 1988 Pontiac Banshee IV concept car.
